TERMS & PRIVACY

This User Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between you (referred to as "User," "you," or "your") and The Civic Success Project ("The Civic Success Project," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the website [civic-success.org] (referred to as the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from accessing or using the Site.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Civic Success Project, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, violation of this Agreement, or infringement of any rights of a third party.

Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Site, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice. We may also modify this Agreement from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after any modifications to this Agreement constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration conducted in Illinois, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The language of the arbitration shall be English.

Email Collection and Marketing

(a) Email Submissions: The Civic Success Project may provide forms on the Site that allow you to submit your email address for the purpose of receiving newsletters, updates, and other communications. By submitting your email address through these forms, you consent to receive such communications from The Civic Success Project.

(b) Opt-out: If you no longer wish to receive communications from The Civic Success Project, you can unsubscribe or opt-out by following the instructions provided in the emails or by contacting us directly. Please note that even if you opt-out of these communications, we may still send you transactional or administrative messages related to your use of the Site if applicable (e.g., related to a user account or specific service request).

(g) Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information when submitting your email address or other personal details. The Civic Success Project shall not be liable for any consequences arising from the submission of incorrect or outdated information.

(h) Children's Privacy: The Civic Success Project does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without such consent, we will take steps to promptly delete the information from our systems.

(i) Compliance with Terms: By submitting your email address or other personal information through forms on the Site, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including the provisions regarding data collection and use.

By submitting your email address or other personal information through forms on the Site, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Agreement and our Privacy Policy.

This section governs the collection of email addresses and other personal information, and their use for communications and project-related purposes, ensuring transparency and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and The Civic Success Project regarding your use of the Site, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
